WorkatoSight release notes — June 2026
Summary
Section titled “Summary”This is the first public WorkatoSight release for Confluence teams documenting Workato architecture, API posture, runtime evidence, and configuration context. It adds space-scoped Workato setup, dashboard views, native Confluence macros, page-local bylines, API Governance, Documentation Coverage, and customer documentation.
New features
Section titled “New features”- Space configuration: Set the Workato origin, allowed browser hosts, securely stored credential, refresh preferences, and display timezone.
- WorkatoSight Dashboard: Use Browse, Macro Authoring, Architecture Evidence, Documentation Coverage, API Governance, and Freshness views.
- Recipe display options: Add Recipe Detailed, Recipe Compact, and Recipe Summary macros through native Confluence display options.
- Architecture and API macro catalog: Add Project, Connection, API Collection, API Client, API Endpoint, API Security, Environment Summary, Config Data, and Runtime Evidence macros.
- Page-local bylines: Use Workato Architecture and Workato APIs bylines to summarize the Workato context on the current Confluence page.
- Documentation Coverage: Scan explicitly for Confluence pages containing Workato links or WorkatoSight macro context.
- Truthful synced views: Dashboards, macros, and bylines use synced Workato facts; ordinary page reads do not silently contact Workato.
- Rate-limit handling: Refresh operations retry rate-limited Workato requests and preserve clear freshness and partial-access states.
- Credential and URL privacy: Token values, secret material, and token-bearing URL parameters are removed before Workato facts appear in the UI or synced evidence.
Bug fixes and improvements
Section titled “Bug fixes and improvements”None. This is the first public WorkatoSight release.
Scope changes
Section titled “Scope changes”Not applicable for the initial public release. Administrators review the requested Atlassian permissions during installation.
Admin action required
Section titled “Admin action required”Admins must configure WorkatoSight per Confluence space before users can rely on dashboards, macros, bylines, or coverage scans. Add the Workato origin, allowed browser hosts, credential, refresh preferences, and display timezone, then run diagnostics and refresh Workato data.
Known limitations
Section titled “Known limitations”- Optional Workato APIs vary by tenant and credential. WorkatoSight reports missing optional access without treating all partial access as a total outage.
- Collection-level API review signals can appear when one endpoint in the selected collection needs review, even if a separate endpoint-only page is healthy.
- Documentation Coverage is an explicit scan rather than a continuous crawl. Results can become stale until an admin scans again.
- Scheduled refresh is disabled by default and runs only for licensed, configured spaces when an admin enables it.
