Summary
Section titled “Summary”This is the first public WorkatoSight release for Confluence teams documenting Workato architecture, API posture, runtime evidence, and configuration context. It adds space-scoped Workato setup, cache-backed dashboard views, native Confluence macros, page-local bylines, API Governance, Documentation Coverage, and customer documentation.
What Changed
Section titled “What Changed”- Added WorkatoSight space configuration for Workato origin, browser host allow-list, secret-backed credential, refresh preferences, and display timezone.
- Added a WorkatoSight Dashboard with Browse, Macro Authoring, Architecture Evidence, Documentation Coverage, API Governance, and Freshness tabs.
- Added Recipe Detailed, Recipe Compact, and Recipe Summary macros with native Confluence Display options.
- Added Project, Connection, API Collection, API Client, API Endpoint, API Security, Environment Summary, Config Data, and Runtime Evidence macros.
- Added Workato Architecture and Workato APIs bylines that summarize page-local context from cached facts.
- Added explicit Documentation Coverage scans for Confluence pages containing Workato links or WorkatoSight macro context.
- Added bounded Workato API retry behavior for rate-limit responses.
- Added customer-facing documentation, screenshots, and walkthrough videos.
Admin Action Required
Section titled “Admin Action Required”Admins must configure WorkatoSight per Confluence space before users can rely on dashboards, macros, bylines, or coverage scans. Add the Workato origin, allowed browser hosts, credential, refresh preferences, and display timezone, then run diagnostics and refresh cached facts.
Compatibility And Upgrade Notes
Section titled “Compatibility And Upgrade Notes”- WorkatoSight is a Confluence Cloud Forge app using UI Kit surfaces.
- Workato facts are cached per configured Confluence space.
- Page reads, macro renders, dashboard reads, and byline popups do not make hidden live Workato calls.
- Scheduled refresh is disabled by default and runs only for licensed configured spaces when enabled.
- Documentation Coverage scans remain manual and do not edit Confluence pages.
- Token values, secret material, and token-bearing URLs are redacted before facts reach UI or cached evidence.
Known Limitations
Section titled “Known Limitations”- Workato optional APIs may vary by tenant and credential. WorkatoSight reports missing optional access without treating all partial access as a total outage.
- Collection-level API review signals can appear when one endpoint in the selected collection needs review, even if a separate endpoint-only page is healthy.
Validation
Section titled “Validation”- Verified a configured Confluence space with realistic Workato architecture pages.
- Verified dashboard Browse, Macro Authoring, Architecture Evidence, Documentation Coverage, API Governance, and Freshness views.
- Verified positive API Endpoint and page-local Workato APIs byline evidence.
- Verified Runtime Evidence and Config Data macro rendering from cached Workato facts.
- Verified documentation media with screenshots and two short walkthrough videos.
