Publish Your First Work Type Safety Policy

Use a non-production Jira Software project with representative source and target work types.

  1. Open ChangeGuard Policies and choose the Work Type Safety template.
  2. Select the project, source work type, and unsafe target work type. Choose Block.
  3. Save the Candidate and run all four Candidate tests.
  4. Open Simulate, choose a representative issue and target, and confirm the blocked result.
  5. Return to Policies, review the consequence dialog, and publish.
  6. Open Health and confirm both readers and the Active snapshot agree.
  7. Try the governed work-type change on the test issue; Jira should show the ChangeGuard block and leave the issue unchanged.
