Environment Comparison Dashboard
Environment Comparison is the primary BoomiSight dashboard tab for deployment drift. It compares visible Boomi resources across environments and highlights version gaps, stale deployments, and production branch policy violations.
What This Feature Answers
Section titled “What This Feature Answers”- Which resources differ between environments?
- Which rows are drifted or behind?
- Which production deployments violate branch expectations?
- Which filtered view should be exported for review?
Core Controls
Section titled “Core Controls”- Deployment type narrows rows by resource type.
- Environments selects which environments appear in the comparison.
- Filter resources searches by name, id, branch, notes, or deployer.
- Drift only hides aligned rows.
- Apply refreshes the table using the selected filters.
- Refresh asks BoomiSight to fetch a fresh comparison snapshot.
- Export CSV and Export HTML produce reviewable evidence from the current table.
Typical Workflow
Section titled “Typical Workflow”- Open BoomiSight Dashboard from the space apps sidebar.
- Review the total resources, visible resources, drifted count, production branch violations, and snapshot freshness.
- Select the environments that matter for the change or release review.
- Turn on Drift only when the page needs a focused exception list.
- Export CSV or HTML for an approval packet, release review, or audit note.
Interpretation Tips
Section titled “Interpretation Tips”A drifted row does not always mean a defect. It may show an intentional release rollout where development, test, and production are at different versions. Use the severity, branch, age, and notes together before deciding whether a row needs action.
